      I replaced 2 worn 70-lb lifts on the engine hatch for my 2005 Chaparral Sunesta 216 with these. 90-lb lifts were the way to go as it seems the factory under-spec-ed the OEM lifts. The hatch now stays open for engine bay work and closes well with a little bit of force.

      I have to give a big thank you to Cecil Marine. I ordered stock 70 lbs shock replacement for my motor cover on my 2004 chaparral SSI 220. The stock replacements were not strong enough. Joe at Cecil marine help me to get replacements right away. Thank you! They are great shocks! Ameritool makes a great product, as well or very responcive and guiding in this matter. BTW, I recommend 90lbs shocks for a 2004 Chaparral SSi 220 boat motor cover.
